What is an escape room?

Live Escape games derive from the popular pc games and now it can also be played offline which is even more fun to do. In 2007 the first Live Escape Room was founded in Japan. Europe got its first Escape Room in Hungary (2011). The Netherlands (2013) soon followed, and only one year later you could also escape in Belgium. The concept is fairly simple: you and some friends are locked in a room (or even a house), each room has been designed according to a specific theme or topic. It can be adventurous, mysterious, detective, horror,.. By looking for clues, keys and solving puzzles you have to get out of that room within a certain time, generally speaking, you get 60 minutes. So it’s a race against time and time flies while you are having fun.

How many people can play?

Unless you have a lot of experience with escaping, it is recommended to play the rooms with a minimum of 3 players (pay attention to the minimum listed on the website, some rooms require a minimum of 4 players). Please also respect the maximum number of people, it would be pointless to play with a bigger group. If the amount of players exceeds the maximum for one of our rooms, you are welcome to book a second (or even a third) room!

Who can play these escape games?

Anyone who wants to feel the thrill of escaping with his/her friends, partner, family or colleagues by looking for clues and solving puzzles will certainly enjoy the experience.

Warning: we cannot be held responsible for people who catch the ‘escape virus’ – these people develop the inexplicable urge to be locked into rooms and think their way out! Luckily, to this day, no cure has been found…

Is there a minimum age required?

The games are most suited for the ages between 18 and 60. If there’s any text in the room, it will be in English and some puzzles can be too hard for younger or older people. We do not allow players who are 16 or younger, unless they are supervised by an adult.

Can I cancel the booking?

You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 7 days before the start of the game. That means if the booking is on Friday at 17.00h, your last change to cancel in time is 17.00h the Friday before. After that you will receive a voucher for the amount paid minus a charge of €50 per room. In case of a no-show there is no refund. If one person cannot attend, let us know by email (!) in advance, he/she will receive a voucher. Extra players can pay the fixed price for extra players (€20) on arrival.

Can we get help during the game?

The goal is to escape the room with the help of the clues but it’s not always that easy. So when the gamemaster sees that a certain part of the game is causing problems, he or she will give a hint so you can go keep going.

What time do we have to arrive?

We ask you to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the game (not earlier). This gives you time for a quick bathroom break and to carefully lock your belongings away in the lockers. There will be a short briefing. If you are late, we will have to deduct it from your 60 minutes, so please plan your trip and be on time. If not, give us a call. If you are drunk or under the influence of drugs, you will denied entrance to the escaperoom without refund.

How can we get there?

BY CAR In the street of our Escape Room (Blijde inkomststraat 103) you can often find some parking space, especially during the evening. If you can not find any parking in the streets, you can park underground in the Ladeuze-parking. It’s an 8-minute walk.
BY TRAIN: Our rooms are within walking distance of Leuven Station (+- 10-15 minutes).
BY BUS: Busses 601 and 630 can take you to our escape room from the station.

Can I buy a voucher?

Yes this is possible. Follow this link and choose one of the standard prices. You can pay online. You will receive (within 10 minutes) a pdf by email with the voucher. If not, contact us asap. The voucher has a unique code that can be used one-time-only by the receiver to book a room online. You can upload your own picture and add text. To redeem the voucher, go to the bookingpage.

What about the old voucher?

This (brown, physical) voucher cannot be redeemed online.
You can look online for an available date/hour/room and email us this information (+ voucher number) with the request to book it for you. On arrival you can pay with the voucher and bancontact /cash if necessary.
