Frequently asked questions about Escape Rooms

You will be locked in a room with a group of friends, colleagues, or family. Each room has a theme. It can be adventurous, exciting, mysterious, or scary. By searching for clues and solving puzzles, you can escape from the room yourself. To do this, you (usually) have 60 minutes. It is a race against time. One thing is certain: fun is guaranteed!
Escape rooms evolved from popular online games. In 2007, the first escape room opened in Japan. The first in Europe came in Budapest (Hungary) in 2011. Afterward, the Dutch and Belgian markets soon followed.

The most ideal number of players is four. With 2 or 3 players is also possible but then it is best to already have some experience. If you want to escape anyway. Look carefully at the maximum number of players for a particular room. Most rooms can accommodate up to 5 or 6 players. From then on, the room should be adapted to large groups otherwise the gaming comfort is gone. One can hardly create a nice game flow for 2-3 people as well as for 7 people. If you are with a larger group, you can book multiple rooms and play simultaneously or one after the other.

Anyone who likes to combine excitement and fun with solving riddles and puzzles together.

The games are most suitable for ages between 16 and 60. If there is text to be found in the room, it is in English. Some puzzles are somewhat difficult for young players. For more information, see by room.

In recent years, more and more scary rooms have been created. After all, this can make the experience just a little more fun. Still, there is a difference between an exciting room and a horror room. Normally this is then clearly stated with the information. Certain tests/puzzles may require some physicality in a room but it should all be done safely. There should be no danger.

Escaperooms with an actor are only a recent phenomenon in Belgium (ca from 2020). Not coincidentally, this goes along with the trend towards more exciting rooms. If an actor is present, this is normally mentioned in the information about the room. It adds an extra dimension to the gaming experience but may not be suitable for everyone. However, the rule of thumb is that there is no physical contact with the players. There are no actors present in our escaperooms.

The goal of the game is to escape from the room by following the clues in the room. However, this is not always easy. Therefore, there is always a gamemaster who follows the game from a distance and gives hints if needed. This way, the game does not fall silent and you can move on to the next puzzle.

We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before the start of the game. This will give you enough time to make one last toilet stop and put everything in the lockers. Then there will be a brief explanation of the game. If you are much late, this time may be deducted from the original 60 minutes you get for the game. Be sure to also let us know if you are late. If the gamemaster notices that the players are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, he may deny the players access to the rooms. A refund is not possible in this case.
